Last week I attended an evening event at Hobbs store in Birmingham Pavillions with a styling talk by Beth from Style Guile. I must admit when I got the invite I wasn't sure whether to attend as it's a shop I never consider browsing and don't own anything from there. I am happy to admit I was pleasantly surprised especially with the NW3 collection, it was young, good quality with fun prints to classic tailored pieces in a range of wearable pieces.
The horse prints especially caught my eye as well as the trench and darling fox belt plus a couple of flippy fun dresses. The colours were already Autumn inspired so didn't appeal to me just yet but give me a couple of months and i'll be on board.
The rest of the main Hobbs collection I will admit was a little grown up for me but I did spy several accessories I loved. The flat leather pumps and snakeskin heels were gorgeous and the matching snakeskin bag was particularly nice. There was a gorgeous black bag called Jean which I would happily have taken home and the belts were a great price in patent leathers and pony haired prints.
The jewellery was even a little Alex Monroe inspired and the bumble bee necklace was a favourite of mine. Topped off with cocktails from Hotel LaTour and some hair demonstrations and arm massages by Puro hair I had a lovely evening and of course enjoyed seeing the Birmingham bloggers.
Do you shop in Hobbs? Or have you been thinking along the same lines as me for the last few years!
