Jamaica in the Square

At the weekend we met up with some of my family for lunch and decided to check out the Jamaica in the Square celebration of 50 years of independence in Birmingham . Victoria square was decked out in black, green and gold flags, smoke was filling the square from the bbqs and music was thumping from the outdoor stage.

We had our fill of jerk chicken, rice and peas, goat curry, dumplings and patties. Washed down with Red Stripe and rum punch. A great atmosphere filled the few hours we were there!
