Welcome back, an unexpected hiatus where life just took over and the blog slipped further and further behind. Work has been sapping all my energy levels and anyone who works a full time job and writes a blog knows how hard it can be to keep up a routine. I honestly take my hat off to anyone who regularly updates around their nine to five.
Still I haven't been lazing around, I have been out and about with friends and family, attending fun blogging soirées, planning this years getaways and writing hundreds of blog posts (in my head!) I thought I would do a little catch up post.
Basked in the sunshine we've been lucky enough to receive over the last few weekends. My Prada Baroque sunnies have had a little action, paired with Mac's So Chaud lipstick.
I took myself out for lunch at a new bar in the city centre whilst Matt was away.
A pampering treat for my hair at Umberto Gianni to try out the new Mend My Hair range.
Spent the weekend at a friends country house. The boys went shooting and the girls relaxed at a spa before sipping a lot of bubbles.
Attended a dinner hosted by Levi's at Purnells Bistro.
The Live Nation girls came to town, Matt and I hung out with them at the Drake concert. Birmingham is hosting Wireless this year, you might remember we went to London last year. So excited it's coming to town!
Gave up bread for lent. When I say bread I mean all bread, loaves, pizzas, flatbreads, wraps, bagels etc You cannot guess how much I could devour a pizza right now. I initially did this for health reasons and I'm feeling so much better for it but I'm missing my breakfast bagel enormously. 47 days down, 14 to go.
My nails were the lucky recipient of a luxury manicure at the Club and Spa in the Cube a Birmingham. I went for a marshmallow pink and let the lady paint them to perfection whilst being poured a glass or two of Laurent Perrier. 7 days with no chips - impressed!
Shopped till we dropped, for Matt. Boy this guy can shop. We slipped in a swift lunch at Fumo just as it opened before pounding the streets.
Ditched my commute by car and now take the train for an hour out to Stratford Upon Avon every weekday. The couple of miles walk each day is keeping up my slipped up fitness routine a little.
